FAQ

WHERE IS THE FESTIVAL LOCATED?

The festival will take place at Mangapiri Downs OrganicStud Farm® under the beautiful Takitimu mountains, halfway between the townships of Tuatapere and Manapouri. The address is 2576 Clifden Blackmount Road, Southland, NZ.

IS THERE ACCOMMODATION AVAILABLE ON SITE?

On site camping is completely free for all festival-goers! You can also arrange accommodation at the nearby Borland Lodge or elsewhere such as Manapouri and Tuatapere (take a look at our accommodation page). Or you can just come for the day.

COVID-19 INFORMATION

As a hospitality event, we are required by law to check vaccine passports before allowing patrons onto the site. Please ensure you will have a VP before purchasing your tickets. We request that festival goers follow the latest COVID-19 guidelines, which may include wearing of masks indoors. Please scan or sign in upon arrival at the festival as well. The event will be postponed or cancelled if a local COVID-19 lockdown comes back into force between December 31st and Jan 5th.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

The festival is evolving from the one we had in 2019. Anyone that wants to get involved with supplying food, healing, music or other services can contact us on facebook messenger or by email at tim@organic-rams.co.nz.

IS THERE EFTPOS?

We have cellphone internet connection at the stage area and around much of the farm. We think Eftpos transactions will work, however to be on the safe side bring cash too. You will need cash for food trucks and also for some of the sessions you may wish to attend. While some are free, others will require a small koha. The songwriting workshops cost $20 per person.

WHAT SHOULD I
BRING WITH ME?

We recommend that you bring chairs, water bottles, jackets, hats, and gumboots or old walking shoes, and cash with you to the festival.

You may also wish to bring cash, earplugs for children, sunscreen, sun umbrellas/shade tents, rain umbrellas, guitar, picnic rugs, chilly-bins, and yoga mats too – if you have them.

WHAT FOOD OPTIONS
WILL BE AVAILABLE?

Last year, we had three food and/or coffee trucks available on-site – some provided organic and natural options. We expect this year to be the same.

We welcome guests to bring their own food.

Limited BBQs and cookers, plus plenty of cups, and hot & cold drinking water and outdoor tables will be available for use.

There will be no bar, but guests are welcome to bring a picnic dinner. Drunken behaviour is strongly discouraged, and will result in your being removed from the festival.

HOW CAN I GET TO THE FESTIVAL?

In 2021, GO2 New Zealand tours put on a special minibus service from Te Anau via Manapouri for the Open Mic night. We expect they will do the same this year. However, with only 11 seats, get in quick, if you wish to be driven there and back. If there is enough interest, they may also do a Saturday afternoon and evening service so people can get to the Feature Artist Concert. Go2NZ website for contact details.
