Recently returned to live in New Zealand, Jon Toogood is an international Kiwi rock star and frontman for Shihad since 1988 when he formed the band with Tom Larkin.
Jon Toogood also plays solo and will be headlining at Revitalize in 2023 as a solo act.
"I love writing and I love recording, but the magic that happens when on stage is pretty special. Any time I get to play in a beautiful part of the world, is a good day for me," Jon says.
An inductee to the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame, Jon Toogood has won NZ Male Vocalist of the Year three times. Six of Shihad's studio albums have peaked at number one (including those when the band was called Pacifier). At the Aotearoa Music Awards they have won Rock Group of the Year four times. Plus, Shihad has won Album of the Year, Group of the Year and Video of the Year multiple times.
